Expanding a Feminist Professor’s Education

Twitter has many things to answer for, from users’ freedom to engage in anonymous abuse to the censoring of off-narrative opinions and personalities by what must be an enormous squad of woke censors at the social media giant’s head office. But every now and again — not often, but it does happen — something worthwhile figures in the threads.

Below is one such exchange, prompted by Professor Danna Young, who is paid to teach her brand of ‘journalism’ at the University of Delaware. By way of background, the professor describes her specialty thus: “Dannagal G. Young (Ph.D. University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication, 2007) is a Professor of Communication and Political Science … studies the content, audience, and effects of nontraditional political information.” Earlier this week, she posted this tweet:

My teen told me something that’s been haunting me for weeks.

He said “I think almost every white middle school boy is in the alt-right pipeline -at some point-until something/someone pulls them out.”
                                                        — Dr. Danna Young🇺🇸✌🏻 (@dannagal) June 18, 2022

The response was quick, with the Twitter mob initially endorsing the professor’s appraisal of boys as problems — largely, one gathers, because it is their great misfortune (and a curse on everyone else)  that they are not girls. Wading into this stream of woke drek came 18-year-old  Daniel Schmidt, a freshman at the University of Chicago. His series of tweets, copied from the originals lest Twitter’s censors take down the thread for the crime of making too much sense, are reproduced below. Each horizontal line indicates a fresh tweet in the series.

I’m an 18-year-old white male. I was in middle school only 5 years ago. I think I can offer some perspective on @dannagal’s thread. Yes, young white males increasingly identify as right-wing.

But why? From my experience, here’s what’s really happening.

________________

Thought experiment: Imagine you’re an 8th-grade boy. You’re beginning to be told by teachers, the media, and maybe your parents that you’re privileged because you’re a boy. It’s a basic truth, you’re told.

But this just makes you confused. You start asking yourself questions.

________________

If boys are privileged, why do the girls in my class tend to get better grades?

Why are there more girls than boys in my advanced classes?

Why are the girls more well-behaved and focused?

Why are some of the girls preparing for college applications already?

________________

By the time you get to high school, your confusion only grows.

Your friend, who used to go to church with you, has become addicted to porn. Another friend, whose parents have recently divorced, has started using drugs.

Your friends start appearing unmotivated and demoralized.

________________

Meanwhile, the girls at your school continue to be over-represented in honors classes, get better test scores and grades, obtain more leadership positions, and participate in more extracurriculars.

But you’re still repeatedly told that boys are privileged. How could this be?

________________

Then, when college acceptances come out, you notice many more girls than boys get into top universities. More girls are going to college in general, for that matter.

But for some reason, all you hear is that girls are underrepresented in higher education. It’s confusing.

________________

When you search for scholarships to apply to, you find hundreds that are only open to women.

When you tour college campuses, you hear how proud the school is to have student organizations like Women in Law, Women in Business, and Women in Science.

It all becomes too much.

________________

You start doing research.

You discover that men are more likely to be homeless, go to prison, become alcoholics, struggle with isolation/loneliness, die of a drug overdose, and commit suicide.

But all you hear about, for some reason, is something called the “gender pay gap.”

________________

Eventually, you find out that the only people who seem to talk about the issues facing men—the only people who appear to sympathize with how you feel—are so-called “alt-right” figures like Jordan Peterson.

You start listening to them. For once, you feel like you’re not alone.

________________

Now imagine you’re an 8th-grade white boy.

On top of the alienation you experience for merely being a boy, you’re told by teachers, the media, and maybe even your parents that you should feel some form of remorse for being white.

You’re as privileged as it gets, you’re told.

________________

This doesn’t make much sense to you. Why should you feel bad for being white—something you can’t control?

This is a question you and your white classmates implicitly know cannot be asked. So instead, all of you submit. Humiliation quickly leads to demoralization.

________________

As you get older, you feel increasingly unwelcome by society. “Diversity and inclusion” initiatives and never-ending anti-white messaging from the media only make you feel like a burden.

So you turn to the Internet, where you feel welcome by video games and right-wing forums.

________________

Younger and younger white males are following this path. They feel they’re simply unwelcome by society, and they escape to a select few communities and websites.

For the first time in America’s history, the founding demographic is dropping out of society in massive numbers.

________________

Dr. Danna Young’s solution?

“Inclusive programming and a critical historical lens.”

It’s almost like their goal is to demoralize and demonize young men—the group most likely to challenge our ruling class.

“Their goal is to demoralize and demonize young men,” Schmidt notes.  It’s hard to disagree.

Most of modern journalism and media is dedicated to demoralisation and demotivation. The average person does not have the resources financially or mentally to actively resist.
This is done under the veil of criticism, but not all criticism is legitimate even if it may be valid. This is a distinction we ceased making, but no one should be expected to accept criticism that is not done in good faith or that comes from someone who does not have your best interests at heart.
The right response to radical left-wing criticism is to either ignore it outright or ruthlessly attack and mock it. If a feminist mocks men, ask what she has ever done for men; if they mock white people, say you should be grateful for white men inventing the computer.
At no point should any quarter be given. Find a line and stick to it. This of course requires a kind fortitude and determination that very few have.

Wise kid. And he could have added that men have no say in whether to keep a child or abort it, Get destroyed in the courts over custody/alimony. Are demonised or trivialised in ALL media from advertising , to films and television shows , and are being slowly whitewashed from history with their works being removed from curriculums , statues and monuments torn down , the complete feminisation of all pro sports via Pink tests and balls and outfits, “Theme” days for the rainbow/women/indigenous , and the annoying inclusion of female commentators in the AFL/Cricket , changing the dynamic for the worse . And female umpires the disaster waiting to happen with cries of sexism and bullying almost guaranteed , as if the AFL wants to self-flaggelate to appease the women. Not to mention the overwhelming number of them being lesbians who are bulletproof to criticism. They will never be satisfied , never.

  • Michael says:

The left, feminists etc will never get that boys and young men are going right because the left is constantly denigrating and demonising them.

  • Alistair says:

Its sort of laughable that he describes Jordan Peterson as Alt Right – WHAT! The guy who famously said he’d hold his nose and vote for Clinton rather than Trump. Just because you disagree with me? – you must be far right.

I was just looking at demographic trends in China where parents apparently routinely get rid of girls and only raise boys. Now that’s male priviledge, but who is going to criticise them!

Isn’t it strange that both the USA young males and the Chinese young males seem to have the same solution. Give up and let it rot.

There seems to be something much deeper going on globally at a deep cultural level thats eating away each culture at the very core.

To Hugo, I agree about the AFL. I no longer watch matches with female commentators. Sport for men and women was once a place of choice, for being with men, or with women, or mixed in some sports (which coincidentally I chose to play.)
But now, AFL has been feminised to please the woke. No bother with AFLW, but my choice is not to watch it.
Female umpires in men’s games? That is what has brought about the ridiculous rule re dissent. The AFL will suffer loss of crowds and support, and the silly buggers don’t even know why. Go woke, go broke.

We’ll wake up one day and acknowledge how well chosen is the phrase “white male supremacism”. It’s not difficult to find fairly continuous evidence of prowess in so many fields over the last few millennia. We could be modern and inclusive and agree with BLM in permitting Asians and Jews in the rank of whites.

  • STD says:

Roger that – standby boys help is on its way. Good work rf.

  • Daffy says:

I was assaulted once. I was glad when the cops turned up: a car full of tough, resolute males there to do their duty and put wrong right. If you are in a fire, pray that its a bunch of men on the truck because any one of them can grab your unconscious form pick it up without blinking an eye and take you to safety. Similarly on the battlefield. Hope it’s a man who comes to pick up your inert form, both legs blown off and run you, with his full pack and rifle at the ready back to safety. Men’s physicality is where it is and should be nurtured and praised, along with men’s willingness to do tough, rough, dirty, unpleasant jobs that keep modern society going.
But that’s not all, men are great thinkers, and will battle with each other to get the right result, will criticize each other to find the truth and when what works, or is right, or good is found, they will pursue it relentlessly.
Many women too, obviously, but don’t forget men as well!
As Jordon Peterson points out, most men work hard at ordinary boring jobs to provide for their family and sacrifice, willingly, slabs of their weekend to do house work, play with the kids and spend time with their wives. The ordinary life of most men, like most women is ordinary, but one must respect the relentless dedication most have in their ordinary lives to keep going, see the lighter side of it, and care for their families.
You’ll never hear that in femo-nazi/legbiter circles.
Just like the men that ran into Robb Elementary School in Texas with a guy shooting at kids in the room. Men.

There’s a lot of social engineering going on. For some reason it never occurs to the promoters of radical change that the past is not all bad, and that actually our ancestors may have got a few things right. Different roles for girls and boys, men and women, are a case in point. My bet is that everyone was probably much happier under the old system, which was endorsed by generation after generation for 2000 years and more. There is a big difference between intellectual cleverness and true wisdom. Our fractured and traumatised society needs more of the latter and less of the former. On the one hand you have those who want destroy traditional institutions – the statue topplers. On the other hand, you have Ecclesiasticus:
Let us now praise famous men, and our fathers that begat us.
The Lord hath wrought great glory by them through his great power from the beginning.
Such as did bear rule in their kingdoms, men renowned for their power, giving counsel by their understanding, and declaring prophecies:
Leaders of the people by their counsels, and by their knowledge of learning meet for the people, wise and eloquent in their instructions:
Such as found out musical tunes, and recited verses in writing:
    Rich men furnished with ability, living peaceably in their habitations;
All these were honoured in their generations, and were the glory of their times.
There be of them, that have left a name behind them, that their praises might be reported.
And some there be, which have no memorial; who are perished, as though they had never been; and are become as though they had never been born, and their children after them.
But these were merciful men, whose righteousness hath not been forgotten.
With their seed shall continually remain a good inheritance,
and their children are within the covenant.
Their seed standeth fast, and their children for their sakes.
Their seed shall remain for ever, and their glory shall not be blotted out.
Their bodies are buried in peace; but their name liveth for evermore.
The people will tell of their wisdom, and the congregation will show forth their praise.

What male teen talks like that?

    Their feminist mother would though.

  • Stephen says:

How can these extreme left wing types be so blind, Their attitude to males is about as sexist as it gets. Their attitude to white people is about as racist as it gets. How can someone with the lengthy an expensive education required to be a University Professor be so racist and sexist? When the Black Lives Matter movement first emerged some enlightened folk responded that All Lives Matter. In every case there was a massive pile on of BLM left wing types calling them Nazis. As I have said before we now live in the age of stupid and its a nasty, malicious and dangerous kind of stupid.

  • IainC says:

Yet when the Russians invaded, all the males stayed to stand and fight, and die, and all the women and children were sent away to safety – as they damn well should. Some biological imperatives, like men sacrificing their lives so that the next generation survives, don’t die, they just wait until needed. Male and female drivers and behaviours are different, and just because a feminist thinks that most men should behave like most women doesn’t make it true, or even necessarily desirable. Clever societies channel innate male aggression and suppressed violence awaiting a trigger into useful outcomes (anything competitive or dangerous, defence against existential threats) others use it to destroy civilization (ISIS, BLM riots, Great Leap Forward, Palestine, etc etc).

I guess everyone who is anti-fascist, anti-racist, anti-authoritarian, pro-worker, libertarian, with a social conscience and is not a billionaire attracts the “far right” label these days.

When you read the above you realise how spineless have been State and Federal governments in opposing such feminist rubbish, and in fact actually encouraging it, particularly in the area of education. We seem to be living out what was supposed to be “fiction” in Orwell’s 1984 and Animal Farm. If this feminisation of men is successful, I would not rate our chances if Australia were to be attacked and invaded by an enemy. The regular armed forces would probably be able to put up a fight but the rest would probably try to “counsel” the enemy about their bad behaviour and “cancel” them on social media because of their “unacceptable behaviour”. That would fix them.
