On Wednesday afternoon I watched two police officers arrest a woman for carrying a hatchet in her grand-daughter’s pram. As they held her hands behind her back she started to wail and begged to be cuffed with her hands in front of her chest. One of the officers asked her why she had a prohibited weapon in her pram.
