How crazy is Victoria? Lethally crazy

On Tuesday an autistic teen became lost, and remained lost, near Warburton on the bushy fringe of greater Melbourne. That evening, when the alarm was raised, local volunteers turned out to search for the lad.

Despite the would-be volunteers having extensive knowledge of the local topography they were told their help wasn’t needed and ordered to go home.

Why? Because he who rules over Victoria, along with his agents at the search headquarters, refused to allow any exceptions to the COVID curfew.

Sorry, kid. Better that you spend a cold, damp, miserable night amongst the trees than  Premier Andrews’ patience be tested and his will defied.

UPDATE: The 14-year-old’s lifeless body was found late on Wednesday afternoon. Well done, Victoria Police.
