At present Bertrand Tavernier is arguably the best director not to have his films released theatrically in Australia. This is, of course, no reflection on the great Bertrand. It All Starts Today, the last film of his screened in movie houses here, did quite well (although that was over ten years ago); and DVDs of Tavernier’s work are all in demand online and in the video stores.
