For years the 1943 film version of Margaret Kennedy’s novel and play The Constant Nymph was virtually a lost film. Many of us first discovered its existence through the extraordinary score written for the film by Eric Wolfgang Korngold when some of the main themes were included in British conductor Charles Gerhardt’s famous recordings of Korngold’s film music.
